(Inspired) means that the original artist's sculpture was created from a square piece of paper, usually 6-10 inches large. The dollar bill - having a long rectangular shape and being much smaller - means that completely different folding methods had to be created in order to obtain a similar looking model. (Adaptation) means that the original artist created it out of rectangular paper; in adapting it to the smaller size of the dollar, some of their folding steps were modified, eliminated, and/or new steps created. (Variation) means different methods were used and the model is altered somewhat, i.e; wings added, eyes added, etc. |
